Malheureusement en 1854-1855, Eugène Livet est durement affecté par la conduite dispendieuse et inconvenante de son épouse qui l'amène, suite à la naissance d'un 5ème enfant, Louis Marie Gustave Félix, le 15 avril 1856 à Nantes (mort le 11 mars 1858 à Paris), à demander la séparation de corps et de biens avec son épouse.
